Whatever Happened To...
Jan 27th, 2009, 3:45pm

My best friend at Park Hills was Jerry Reaper, Class of '77.  We met as freshmen, and sang and acted our way through all four years at PHHS.  We kept in touch after we graduated:  He started at Wright State in Computer Science (waaay before computers were "mainstream") and we used to hang at The Rathskellar (aka "The Rat) where they served us beer underage.  Alas, I left Ohio in the spring of '79 for my first radio gig in Kentucky.  He and Eugene Johnson came down to see me once for the weekend.  I saw him again briefly at our 10th reunion, but we barely spoke.  He was married with a baby on the way, and I was a divorced, long haired, rock 'n roll DJ with an earring and dark glasses.  Guess we didn't have much too much in common anymore.

We lost all touch after that and I haven't seen or heard from him since.  Last I heard, he was quite successful doing the Computer/IT thing.  I would love to get back in touch.  So Jerry, if you ever cruise by here...or if anybody knows of his whereabouts and can contact him...give me a holler!  We've  got 30+ years to catch up on!

I only spent my freshman (75-76) and part of my sophomore year (76-77) at Park Hills before my dad was transferred away from Wright-Patt. But i still have such great memories of Park Hills and in particular the good times I spent with Lynn Clark. I'd love to hear from her or how she's doing. We didn't stay in touch. But this Web site got me going through the yearbooks and thinking about people I'd love to see again.

Speaking of "Clarks", I remember a great girl who was only there our freshman year (Class of '77) named Stephanie Clark.  She was a cheerleader and dated Todd Koogler, and was just the sweetest, prettiest girl around.  I often wondered what happened to her.

It would be great to talk to Paul Reed and Mark Myers(we were A-  students). Mark and I sung the Star Spangled banner together in 5th grade and the band teacher(or maybe Mrs. Cotton) gave us an A-. I think that that was the last time that I ever sung in front of people. It did inspire me though to go on and play drums. My love for drums still lives and I perform regularly with a classic Rock 70's/60's Oldies cover band near Nashville. Thanks Mark(and also thanks to my friend Billy Mason for getting me into the business with Tim McGraw).

WOW!  After 22 years, I found Jerry Reaper!  It was SO cool hooking back up at the "All-Class Reunion".  We really got a chance to catch up!  You've got a gorgeous wife, and I'm quite proud of the way things worked out for you!

See what happens when you go to High School Reunions?  Hope to see you again real soon...and definitely at the next Reuion in 2014!!
